Clinical Research

Clinical research has a long tradition in Frankfurt. Early clinical trials on the role of kinase inhibitors in Bcr/Abl-positive ALL as well as large multicenter Phase III/IV trials on ALL have been among the most prominent examples for the clinical activities in hematological malignancies (O. Ottmann, N. Gökbuget). Another strong field of expertise is the clinical activity in Gynecological Oncology (M. Kaufmann). However, besides the clinical research activities in drug development, researchers in Frankfurt are strongly engaged in population based health care sciences (F.M. Gerlach).

  • O. Ottmann: Phase I/II clinical trials with signal transduction inhibitors
  • F. M. Gerlach: Health care research
  • M. Kaufmann: New treatment options and markers in breast cancer
  • N. Gökbuget: Phase II-IV trials in acute lymphoblastic leukemia
