1st Frankfurt Open Access Symposium
Immediate and unrestricted access to publications has emerged as a requirement for funding of many public funding agencies and has made data accessible to scientists located in less privileged economies all over the world. However, Open Access Science is not only restricted to publication of data but it embraces also the unencumbered access and efficient exchange of reagents without restrictions on their use. Recent examples also suggest that an Open Access Science policy improves reproducibility of published data and facilitates collaborations between different partners in industry and academia.
At this symposium we are bringing together key players of national and international research organizations, from academia and industry, publishing companies and research funding agencies to discuss recent development in Open Access Science and its value to society. Registration is now open.
