Despite modern standard therapies, head and neck cancers continue to show high local recurrence rates and significant treatment-related side effects. Therefore, the exploration of new radiotherapeutic strategies is essential to improve cure rates while maintaining patients’ quality of life. The Adeberg Lab focuses on advancing radiotherapy for head and neck cancers, particularly through the use of a proton boost for dose escalation after standard IMRT. The aim is to systematically investigate the efficacy and tolerability of innovative treatment concepts.
