The “P3DO” project is a retrospective study investigating whether the in-vitro chemosensitivity of patient-derived tumor organoids from primary colorectal tumors has predictive value for the clinical response to systemic therapies. This includes patients that received chemotherapy in stage II and III disease, as well as patients with stage IV disease in the setting of metachronous metastases. The study also integrates the tumor microenvironment with the aim of identifying potential biomarkers associated with treatment response.
