Dr. Zuzana Tatarova and her research group integrate data received from implantable tumor devices and high-dimensional computational data to understand the concept how cancer neighborhood (local tumor microenvironment; TME) can determine long-term therapy efficacy. They aim to develop and identify the most promising bioengineering and spatial omic technologies to decompose TME complexity in luminal breast cancer ultimately leading to the discovery of new (i) standardized biomarkers with predictive value and (ii) effective combinations of immune- and conventional therapies.
